NASA ASTRONAUT JOSÉ HERNÁNDEZ

I got the pleasure of creating a piece for Mexican American hero Astronaut José Hernández for the CHIRLA 2010 GALA. It was amazing to meet him and be able to present the award to him on stage. Another thing that was great was that I had the honor to be presented by Arturo Rodriguez, who is the current UFW President and has been since Cesar's passing. Arturo is married to Cesar's daughter and if it wasn't for his energy I don't know how I would of gone through my five line speech without having a nervous breakdown. All and all it was an amazing experience to be able to meet José, who is a great example of what parental support and GANAS could do for someones journey in life.
