Today is my good friend Juan's birthday and it is a must that i give him a shout out here at HECHO. Juan has been the webmaster of this site so far and has managed to help out when we needed it even with a full time job and ton of personal projects in process so we thank him for that. Juan is one of my closest friends and one of the many "MASTERS OF THE DABBLE" I know. Throughout our friendship we somehow figured out that we where dabblers and as we went for it we morphed the definition of dabbling to something more fitting as to what we where doing. So here it is, to us a dabbler is a person that figures out to get what they want or need regardless of funds or reputation, to us a dabbler is a person that can flex what little resources they got and make what ever they want happen. In the past five or six years Juan has photographed many famous people, musicians, politicians, cardinals, etc... very rare did he have an official press pass or was actually working for a magazine. Juan dabbled his way into these situations and opportunities. On one occasion Juan and I found out on a thursday night that Obama would be speaking at the San Diego Convention Center the following Saturday just 2 days away, so we thought there is no way that we will get press passes in this given amount of time so we didn't even bother calling up magazines or press, instead we drove down friday night and saturday morning we managed to sneak our ways in to watch Obama speak. THE DABBLE is in many ways related to GANAS, because if you really want or need something you could use GANAS to somehow make it happen.
